SOFIMA is committed to respecting the privacy of its users. Therefore, we have structured our website in a way that allows browsing without the need to provide personal data. When it is necessary to collect personal data from users to provide our services, or when users decide to share their data voluntarily, the use of that information will be carried out in accordance with the current legislation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The shared user data will be subject to computer processing and will be stored in the SOFIMA database. When the user chooses to provide us with information regarding their personal data (any information through which they can be identified), it is ensured that the shared data will only be used for the purpose of their relationship as SOFIMA’s customers.
In planning this website, we have adopted measures that we consider appropriate to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of user’s personal data, as well as their other rights. Our records may include data obtained during the contractual relationship established with us and because of various interactions with our website.
Users must always ensure the truthfulness, accuracy, authenticity, and currency of the personal data they have provided to SOFIMA.
Types of data that may be collected through our website.
Comments – On pages where visitors have the possibility to leave comments, the data entered in the comment form, as well as the IP address and user agent of the browser, are stored to help with spam detection. An anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Contact Request Forms or Registrations – When visitors use the forms present on our website, only the data present at the time of their use will be stored, which may include: Full Name, Tax Identification Number, Phone Contact, Full Address, Email Address, Company Name.
These forms, when successfully submitted, send the filled data to a SOFIMA email account. The submitted data may also be stored in databases. Access to this data is restricted to authorized SOFIMA personnel.
With whom we share the data – SOFIMA ensures the total confidentiality of the personal data provided and only shares it with third parties for the sole and exclusive purpose of providing the service requested by the user. These may include home delivery of products or services (couriers/company technicians); technical assistance and/or warranty treatment and/or product returns (suppliers); execution of service contracts (operators); and judicial and tax authorities for compliance with legal obligations.
Owner and Data Controller – For the purposes of the services and sales we provide to our users, SOFIMA is the entity responsible for processing your personal data and ensuring the protection of your privacy, acting in accordance with the current legislation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Retention Period – SOFIMA will retain the collected data until a request for its erasure is made by the data subject.
Right to access, modify, and remove personal data – At any time, the user has the right to access their personal data and, within the limits of the contractual agreement and the GDPR, to modify it, object to its processing, decide on its authorized processing, withdraw consent, and exercise other rights provided by law (unless the data is necessary for billing purposes by SOFIMA and for compliance with legal obligations to which SOFIMA is subject). Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to that date. The user has the right to be notified, following the Regulation, in the event of a violation of their personal data and may lodge complaints with the authorities.
Security – SOFIMA is committed to ensuring the security of the information shared by the user. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the proper use of information, we have implemented physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the information we collect online.
